AI Project Manager/Scrum Master - The Baldwin Group

POSITION SUMMARY:

The AI Project Manager/Scrum Master serves as a key leader in driving the execution of strategic technology programs and managing complex projects across business, operations, and technology domains. This position requires expertise in AI, machine learning, natural language processing, chatbot concepts, and automation techniques. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in agile methodologies, and project management, including planning, risk analysis, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy, Planning & Communication

• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements.

• Develop project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.

• Coordinate resource allocation and staffing requirements.

• Effectively communicate project expectations and updates to team members and stakeholders.

• Plan project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

• Publish status reports and communication updates to stakeholders.

• Management of financial forecasting, resourcing, and capacity

Execution:

• Coordinate delivery across multiple agile teams and manage project tracking.

• Utilize project management tools such as Jira to track project progress and financials.

• Manage project schedules and track progress toward timely completion.

• Monitor project financials, investigate deviations, and address cost increases.

• Facilitate project meetings and steering committees.

• Address project issues through risk management and contingency planning, presenting solutions to executive management.

• Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations reports.

• Assist as needed with backlog maintenance.

• Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.

• Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education

Undergraduate/Bachelor's Degree or 10 years of equivalent experience

Undergraduate/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems Design or Computer Science or 10 years of equivalent experience

Experience

8 years' project management experience and 2+ years' Scrum Master experience

Certifications/Licenses Required Scrum Master/PMI-ACP/PMP

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proven experience in overseeing the end-to-end delivery of technical projects or programs from inception through requirements, design, build, testing and deploy

• Extensive experience working in an agile-based delivery model either Scrum or Kanban

• Extensive experience with core software applications delivery

• Ability to work within a team in a collaborative environment.

TECHNICAL, COMPUTER, SYSTEM SKILLS:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Ability to learn any other appropriate program or software system used by the firm as necessary

• Familiarity with Automation and AI tools

• Proficiency in agile based tools (Jira)

OTHER:

• Occasional work during evenings and weekends may be required

• Some travel may be required
