The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer, (aka AI Engineer, Sr), with a specialized focus on Deep Learning (DL) and Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPT). As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for leveraging cutting-edge technologies, particularly GPT3.5, GPT4, and the ability to adapt to emerging models such as GPT Turbo. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in using OpenAI and/or Azure OpenAI platforms, demonstrating proficiency in building innovative solutions powered by AI.

You Will

  • Actively support the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals.

  • Develop against and implement advanced AI models, focusing on GPT3.5, GPT4, and emerging models like GPT Turbo or 4o.

  • Utilize deep learning techniques to enhance model performance, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • Design and construct robust prompts to harness the capabilities of GPT models for various applications.

  • Deploy AI models into production environments and integrate AI solutions with existing systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compatibility.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing workflows.

  • Develop testing strategies and frameworks to validate the correctness and robustness of AI systems through unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

  • Explore and experiment with novel approaches in Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Prompt Engineering to address complex challenges.

  • Leverage APIs effectively for integration purposes and develop custom APIs and plug-ins to extend functionality.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

  • Ensure AI systems comply with ethical guidelines, privacy regulations, and legal requirements, addressing concerns related to bias, fairness, transparency, and accountability.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications

  • Preferred, but not required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications: Preferred (Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Fundamentals)

  • 5 years of related experence.

  • 3-4 years of leadership experience.

  • Experience with GPT-3.5, GPT-4, and emerging models, and developing NLP solutions.

  • Expertise with Microsoft Azure, including Azure AI and Azure Machine Learning.

  • Ability to develop and integrate APIs for AI solutions.

  • Skilled in creating robust testing strategies for AI systems.
