What You'll be Doing:
Structure the schedule of activities for the Developing Reader Literacy Block, Emergent Reader Literacy Block, and Healthy Choices
Work with Healthy Choices Coordinator to organize children into groups based on grade levels
Conduct 21st Century Registrations
Support literacy tutors in the planning and implementation of Guided Independent Reading Practice (GIRP) or Read-Aloud, Vocabulary, and Fluency-building activities (RAvFL), and Emergent Reader activities
Provide feedback to literacy, math and Healthy Choices tutors concerning best practices
Implement site-selected family engagement activities and practices throughout year, as outlined in annual plan; these will vary by site
Work with the math tutor(s) to structure the schedule of the math block.
Job Details:
Working days: 5 days per week
Hours per day: 8 hours
Temporary for the 2023.2024 Summer School Program
What We Offer:
Salary: $45.00 per hour or per diem, whichever is lower
What You'll Need:
Education: Bachelors from an accredited college or university in job-related area.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Must have a Washington State Teaching Certificate, endorsed in K-8 Elementary Education. Must meet WA State Certification Criteria.
Minimum qualifications: Relates well with students, parents and peers. Must have excellent classroom control. Willingness and ability to work in a team environment. Willingness and ability to work at district and building level in developing curriculum. An enthusiastic, creative and resourceful motivator of students. Willingness to work with students outside the classroom environment, i.e. club advisor, class advisor, etc. Present a neat, clean, professional appearance at all times. Must be goal oriented (long range and short range).

Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
