Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking to add an energetic, talented, and forward-thinking first line leader to manage the Attack Integrated Planning & Management team. This leader will ensure appropriate team staffing, deliver high-quality results that meet program commitments, identify and pursue process improvements, and grow the portfolio through new business opportunities. This position will report directly to the Vertical Lift Sustainment Chief Engineer.
The manager will lead Integrated Support Planning & Management employees for AH-64 and AH-6i domestic and international programs. Sustainment activities within the portfolio includes but is not limited to System Support Analysis, Technical Data, Retrofit & Modifications, Service Engineering, Repair & Overhaul, and Support Equipment. In addition, multiple new business opportunities exist or are emerging that will drive future portfolio growth.
This challenging position is critical to the sustainment of the AH-64 & AH-6i fleet, which drives long-term affordability and availability, ensuring that they remain viable and effective
Position Responsibilities:
Manage a diverse team of 18+ technical professionals
Perform all staffing, hiring, and human resource-related management functions
Ensure customer commitments are understood, documented, communicated, and delivered on-time with first-time quality
Ensure understanding and alignment to Boeing's strategic imperatives/Engineering initiatives
Work with employees to help them develop and achieve development milestones consistent with their career goals
Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering and Boeing Company processes
Drive process improvements and cost reduction initiatives to increase efficiency and competitiveness
Ensure technical integration across all sustainment products and services
Interface with all supported program/project managers to ensure requirements are understood and agreed-to
Partner with platform chief engineers and production engineering and operations management
Lead and manage engineering projects, including proposal estimates, in support of aircraft customers
Determine engineering courses of action to include tangible steps and clear completion dates
Summarize engineering actions and status via metrics and reporting tools for presentation to senior and executive leadership
Lead and contribute to risk, issue, and opportunity management
Lead and contribute to platform safety review boards
Ensure the technical correctness of offered solutions
Apply Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) in project development and execution
Timely root cause corrective action (RCCA) to strive for first-time quality
Security Clearance:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in development programs (integration, test phases), production support, or sustainment engineering
3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
Experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers, peers, other employees, and all levels of leadership
Ability to identify and execute process improvements
Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and failure analysis
Experience and familiarity with Aircraft Repair, Service Bulletin Tooling, and Modifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience collaborating cross-functionally (engineering, program management, modification team, and/or finance) and across multiple business units (BDS, BGS, BAO, etc.)
Experience in an Integrated Product Support Function (IPT) capacity (e.g. Technical Publications, Support Equipment, Training, Maintenance Planning, LSA, FSR, Retrofit, Provisioning, or Supply Chain) and Project Management
Experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions
Experience with legacy or new production US military aircraft platforms
Experience with modification and/or sustainment pertaining to military aircraft
Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
Experience with the military rotorcraft market
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
100% Onsite
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Mesa, AZ.)

Summary pay range: 113,050 - 152,950
