Job Summary:
As the Turf and Landscape Agronomics and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and management of turf and landscape health, as well as pest control systems, to ensure they meet high-quality standards and optimize aesthetic and functional value. This role involves leading teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and managing budgets for chemicals and fertilizers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Turf Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2 5 years minimum experience in ag research and agronomy
Proven experience in turf and landscape management and integrated pest management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of turfgrass species, landscape plants, soil science, and pest control methods.
Budgeting and resource management experience.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Turfgrass Professional, IPM Certification) are a plus.

Ability to interpret lab reports for fertilizer, soil, water and tissue analysis
Ability to efficiently learn and become proficient utilizing precision monitoring, data collection, and related precision ag technology tools.
Essential Duties
Turf and Landscape Management:
Manage a team responsible for turfgrass health, landscape maintenance, soil quality, and pest management.
Monitor turf and landscape conditions and develop strategies to enhance quality and appearance.
Conduct soil testing and analysis to determine appropriate fertilizer and chemical applications.
Implement and supervise turf and landscape maintenance programs.
Integrated Pest Management (IPM):
Develop and implement IPM strategies to manage pests in an environmentally friendly manner.
Monitor pest populations and identify potential threats to turf and landscape health.
Coordinate the application of biological, cultural, and chemical control methods.
Maintain records of pest management activities and efficacy
Budget and Resource Management:
Project and order all necessary chemicals, fertilizers, and equipment within budget constraints.
Monitor and control expenses related to turf and landscape agronomic activities.
Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate budget tracking and reporting.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all turf and landscape maintenance activities align with environmental regulations and performance standards.
Regularly communicate with stakeholders to address concerns and provide updates on maintenance progress.
Safety and Training:
Promote a culture of safety within the team and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Recordkeeping and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, expenses, and equipment inventory.
Generate regular reports to track progress, budget adherence, and performance metrics.
Environmental Stewardship:
Implement sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in turf and landscape management.
Stay informed about industry trends and innovations in turf and landscape management.
