This is the entry level, trainee care manager position. Upon successful completion of the 6-month probationary period, employee will be promoted to an aging care manager 2 with salary increase. Aging Care Managers are trained to assess the needs of older adults, develop and implement care plans, provide advocacy, ongoing care management and protect consumers from abuse, neglect, exploitation and abandonment. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for older adults by providing them with and access to a range of community and home-based services. We are dedicated to empowering and advocating for the rights of older adults while supporting their family and other caregivers. This position may, at times, require flexible work location/environment.

Work Hours and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.

  • Work hours Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with 30 minute lunch period.

  • Must be able to travel to areas that may or may not be accessible by public transportation. Mileage and Car Insurance Reimbursement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college-level credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other related social sciences; ORthree and one-half years of experience as an Aging Case Aide and12 college-level credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other related social sciences; ORan equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college-level credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology or other related social sciences.
