The Financial Systems Development Team members develop, maintain, and support multiple systems that enable Whole Foods Market Inc. to forecast and keep track of financial performance on a daily basis.

We are looking for a coach to join our team. Our new team member will work in a positive, supportive team manner with our team members to help design technical solutions for business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide the development and the support teams in the use and adaptation of Agile practices for delivering better software faster

  • Evaluate and implement right tools and processes to enable Agile practices across development teams

  • Be responsible for the adoption and practice of agile methods - coach teams on practicing core Agile principles such as collaboration, transparency and delivering business value

  • Use retrospectives and agreements with teams to constantly improve performance and responsiveness

  • Work closely with Product Owners and Project Management teams to ensure that story done and release done parameters are understood

  • Facilitate the team in estimation of product backlog items using story point and feature points

  • Measure and publish team metrics with a view to continuous improvement

  • Track, resolve and escalate impediments

  • Facilitate conversations, process changes, and technical solutions using facilitation tools and techniques

  • Understand the various products we support and be willing to play roles other than coach as necessary

  • Encourage collaboration between the Support and Development Teams

  • Contribute to process alignment across the organization

  • Understand training needs for teams and members of teams

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software development lifecycle experience

  • 3+ years as Scrum Master/coach supporting multiple development support teams

  • Ability to interact directly, and maintain trusted relationships with business users and other technology teams

  • Experience playing a proactive role in process development across multiple teams to help drive the definition and enhancement of Agile project management

  • Experience creating and executing on communication plans for projects

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members in Agile principles and serve as an Agile proponent throughout organization

  • Ability to work in a decentralized IT environment and embrace the ambiguity that sometimes accompanies this model

  • Technical aptitude

  • Strong facilitation skills

  • Preference will be given to candidates that have experience coaching delivery teams that work with enterprise scale business systems applications

Must understand and execute on backlog items by working closely with the Product Owner and the distributed project teams, making sure deliverables reflect requirements, on-time with production quality. You'll play a key role in resolving business and team conflicts. Must be actively involved in technical matters thus finding gaps and ensuring Product Owner involvement in business decisions and description of the business flow. Work you'll do The Agile Coach involves understanding the Agile processes, partnering with Product Owner/Client leadership teams, and working with project teams to deliver on-time and on budget. Agile Coach - Managers are required to have: * 8+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience managing and delivering large scale custom development or systems integration projects using Agile delivery methodology; * 3-5+ years of relevant Agile experience; * Proven knowledge transfer, training delivery and leadership skills; * Excellent presentation and communication skills both written and verbal; * An advanced knowledge/experience with Microsoft Professional Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project; * Working knowledge of Agile frameworks and tools including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Safe and others; * Experience coaching Agile teams and management; * Experience in business development by brining Agile ways of working to both internal and external clients; * Strong problem solving skills with the ability to apply structured thinking in solving business and technical problems; * Understanding of methodologies including waterfall, iterative/RUP delivery approach, and help client assist in their thinking process as they adapt to Agile; * Experience in working with standard Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools to quickly establish traceability / collaboration among project/program functional rudiments – be hands-on using collaborative tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Jama Software, GIT / GitHub and ALM integrations etc; * Experience facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos; * Experience implementing best practices and standards related to Agile scrum development & testing practices; * 3+ years of experience with Agiler Project Management Tools such as Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, HP Agile Manager, Rally etc. * 5+ years of experience with Requirements Management and Traceability tools such as the Jama, HP tools set, etc. * Strong presence in the local Agile community; * Experience with SAFe methodology(certification preferred); * Scrum Master Certification; * A willingness to travel 80-100% of the time; * Bachelor's degree or Master's degree In addition, successful Scrum Coach - Manager will have the following preferred background: * Project Management Certification – PMP; * Experience working on projects involving solution development based on cloud (Amazon Web Services, SaaS, PaaS and IaaS), web or mobile application architecture; * Experience leading fit gap analysis for migrating applications to cloud platform such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or Force.com; * Experience managing work planning, monitoring, and reporting; * Experience managing requirements processes including conducting interviews and documenting requirements; * Experience managing design activities including design sessions and defining future state processes; * Experience with industry standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies; * Ability to work independently and plan and manage multiple assignments; How you'll grow At Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
