SAIC is rapidly growing a System Integration team to deliver a new, complex space and ground system in support of National Security. This exciting and innovative program, located in Chantilly, VA, is leveraging best practices in system engineering, via Digital Engineering, MBSE, Agile software development, and DevSecOps processes and technology. This multi-year contract will require energetic engineers to define and integrate major space systems and associated ground elements from concept into an operational enterprise.

We are looking for an experienced Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Solution or Release Train Engineer to take on the challenge of planning and leading System (Solution)-level planning events and demonstrations.

You will:

  • Plan and execute tailored Agile and SAFe events, including Solution Increment Planning, System Integration Events, and Solution Demonstrations

  • Work closely with the Space and Ground Segments to ensure the Capability Roadmap accurately reflects the plan for current and future Increments

  • Participate in Stakeholder Engagement Working Groups and events to ensure the Capability Roadmap and backlog reflect the needs of the user community


TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience


  • Current TS clearance, TS/SCI preferred


  • Experience participating in or leading Agile/SAFe events with software development contractors

  • Ability for occasional travel to Colorado, as required


  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) 5.0+

  • Experience as a Release Train Engineer

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

  • Experience with Space and/or Ground Systems development

  • Experience integrating hardware and software

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Learn more at</p><p>What You'll Get to Do:</p><p>As a Release Train Engineer for the Analysis Geospatial Information Systems (AGIS) Release Train, you will be working closely with government product owners, business analysts, Release Train Engineers, scrum masters, and the System Team to ensure that stakeholders needs are properly prioritized and executed, and the development processes are efficient and effective.
