ABOUT THE JOB:
The Agile Project Manager (APM) supports FMI by organizing and motivating Agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to users. The APM is a passionate, change agent who's demonstrated success in leading an Agile transformation in a complex environment. Additionally, this role requires strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
The Agile Project Manager at FMI has a tremendous impact on our ability to be more efficient with new releases and enhancements to the products that are transforming cancer care. The APM is responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using Agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business and operational areas and is dedicated to leading the LIMS Scrum Team.
Demonstrate a creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the 'big picture' view. Capable of improvising, adapting, and overcoming when obstacles materialize, or no scripted playbook is available.
Product Owner Support
Coach members of the team as needed to optimize the efficiency of the scrum team.
Project Planning and Management
Use a high level of knowledge and experience in blending traditional project management principles and practices with an Agile development approach in the right proportions to fit large, complex, mission-critical, enterprise-level projects and with the appropriate level of planning and provide the right balance of agility and predictability.
Other duties as periodically assigned.
Software Development in a regulated environment.
Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent.
Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using Agile Project management tools such as Jira/Confluence or equivalent, Microsoft Project, Visio, SmartSheet, and all Office Tools.
Experience overseeing geographically dispersed project teams.
Knowledge of different Agile approaches: Scrum, XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
Balanced business/technical background with sufficient level of technical knowledge to provide leadership to Project teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
MA or MS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
