As a member of the BEAGLE ASF Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation's safety, security, and prosperity. CBP agents and officers are on the front lines, every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity.
What You'll Get to Do:
Candidate will work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple assignments independently. Must support and contribute to the Agile practices adopted by the development team. Primary responsibilities will be designing, testing and building new mobile applications to meet customer requirements and goals.
You'll Bring these Qualifications:
Relevant Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of related work with minimum 2-4 years of software engineering experience.
C# and object oriented programming experience
Experience leveraging Asp.NET, WebApi, MVC and Node.js
Experience working in an Agile environment, such as Scrum. Participates in stand-ups, retrospectives, planning and other required meetings.
Ability to write SQL and familiarity with Object Relational Mapping tools (ORM).
Disciplined experience writing unit tests
Ability to work with external teams to resolve testing issues and bug fixes
These Qualification Would be Nice to Have:
Native or Hybrid mobile application development experience
Experience/understanding of cloud-based service platforms
Experience with distributed service standards (SOAP, REST, EJB) and protocols (HTTP, SMTP, TCP/IP, UDP), and designing respective information exchanges using JSON and XML/XSD.
Entity Framework for ADO.NET
Familiarity with Team Foundation Server's application life-cycle management and or Jira issue and work item tracking
RDBMS scripting and design
Experience with testing tools such as Visual Studio Unit Tests, Moq, nUnit, xUnit
Knowledge in geographic information systems (GIS)
B.S. Computer Science or related field
Government Eligibility Requirements
Candidate must be able to favorably pass government background investigation.
