Who We Are

We are the Coaching team at Twitter, which reports into the Engineering Team Development org. We focus on the fundamentals: building an agile/lean foundation that enables teams to adopt best practices for organizing themselves, facilitating systemic change, equipping teams and individuals with tools and practices to continuously grow and enabling the conditions for high performing teams and leaders to emerge. We partner with Experience leadership to understand their org's health and provide them the insights needed to enact lasting change.

  • Provide 1:1 coaching to help level up individuals at Twitter

  • Identify ways to continuously optimize and improve performance of teams and groups within your remit

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping unlock the potential of individuals and teams at one of the world's most exciting and impactful companies. You've been a part of shipping impactful products before, and now you're focused on teaching others how to continually improve their delivery quality and pace. An ideal candidate is someone who has a strong toolkit of agile software development frameworks, but who believes in being pragmatic about getting to that ideal state. You value being part of a team that is greater than the sum of its parts.

If this sounds like it might be you, you probably have:

  • Experience shipping product, in a variety of roles from developer to leader, manager or coach

  • 5 years of hands-on experience with scrum, kanban and other agile practices

  • Strong presentation, coaching and facilitation skills

  • Capable of multitasking and transforming multiple teams at once

  • Experience coaching individuals and teams across all levels within the company

  • Able to influence peers / managers and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity

  • Excellent communication skills

Nice-to-have Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Coach or Kanban Coaching Professional

  • Have had exposure to highly-available, scalable software and services

  • You have done experimentation and data driven decisions in an agile environment

  • Strong background of shipping projects with broad customer impact

  • Tried ability to identify and resolve systemic issues
