Maintaining teams who are able to build quality software in a reliable and sustainable pace requires a careful mix of skills, culture, tools and process. Craftmanship in software development is hard to teach. Building software with near-zero new technical debt is hard to achieve. We are looking for coaches who can help teach refactoring, unit testing, test automation, build and deployment automation. Coaches who can work with a team to help identify key improvement strategies and set the team up for success and check in on their progress. Coaches who have the patience and empathy of a world-class mentor, matched with deep software craftsmanship, and an understanding that good enough may be all that is necessary for now.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with various teams to identify means of process improvements

  • Champion Agile development best practices (unit testing, TDD, automation, CI / CD, pair and mob programming)

  • Foster a DevOps culture: ensuring that security, monitoring, operability and easy deployment are part of the team's considerations

  • Lead training efforts, conducting classroom and hands-on based training

  • Help engineering managers and team leads conduct effective retrospectives and help identify meaning team health metrics to measure team change with.

  • Encourage continuous learning and improvement

  • Inspire and encourage teams to try new practices to reduce batch size, increase test coverage and decrease their feedback-loop cycle time

What You'll Need:

  • 7+ years professional experience as a software engineer working on teams that build and ship public-facing software.

  • Demonstrable deep hands-on programming experiences in two or more of the following programming languages: C#, C/C++, Java, NodeJS, JavaScript, Python

  • Excellent ability to detect code smells, demonstrate refactoring and unit testing

  • Awareness of classic and new design patterns and ability to help others recognize them and use them component design

  • Deep knowledge of cloud architecture across Amazon Web Services (strong preference), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach or similar certification

The Holland Team consists of Associates that demonstrate strong leadership, communication, team-building, and decision-making skills. Responsibilities JOB SUMMARY The Development Assistant provides administrative support to the Development Team, including word processing, record keeping, information collection, reporting, coordinating travel arrangements, and scheduling in accordance with Holland Partner Group's core values. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Assist with coordination of vendors in vendor management system (Compliance Depot). * Maintain thorough and systematic knowledge of each project through daily contact with Construction, Design, and Development teams during the transaction process ensuring completion of all critical tasks related to the specific deal. * Provide support to the team regarding legal notices, due dates, documents, closing dates, reporting, * filing, and the process to initiate professional contracts for development services. * Interface with persons directly or indirectly involved with the development project to coordinate the information flow (i.e. brokers, legal, accounting, due diligence consultants, and professional service consultants). * Interface with Accounting on project budget and cost documentation. * Produce correspondence, reports, proposals, presentations, contracts, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, and desktop publishing software. * Assist with maintenance of online databases (RCM/Sharepoint). * Coordinate and prepare collateral materials, monthly reports and presentations for project reporting and marketing, investor meetings, brokerage meetings, city or municipal approvals, and transaction activity with direction from team leaders. * Provide support in coordinating events, project tours, meetings, and ground breaking ceremonies. * Organize electronic and paper files that document all transactions and decisions. * Collect, organize, and provide information to project team relative to due diligence and project financing as required. * Develop a thorough and systematic knowledge of relevant markets, including existing product and land values, competitive developers, and planned or prospective projects. * Prepare monthly expense reports. * Serves as back up for reception desk. * Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times. * Conform to company apparel standards and set a positive example for all Associates. * Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree in real estate, business or a related field is preferred. Experience: One to two years' prior office experience required. Prior experience related to real estate development, construction administration or brokerage is strongly preferred. Background and understanding of the construction industry and real estate development processes preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe or Bluebeam. * Ability to type a minimum of 65 words per minute accurately. * Ability to use office equipment, such as computer, calculator, copier, and scanner, etc. * Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and a wide variety of internal and external customers, while inspiring respect and credibility. * Demonstrated ability to successfully work on multiple projects simultaneously. * Ability to proofread and perform detailed tasks. * Strong presentation, organizational, interpersonal skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Must be personable, persistent, diplomatic and organized. * Must be proactive, flexible, responsible and resourceful. * Strong customer service orientation. Attendance: This full-time position requires the ability to work between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Additional hours or overtime may be required.
