As an Agile Coach, you blend deep agile expertise with a passion for constant improvement through coaching, mentoring and guiding teams and individuals to continuously evolve their agile approach and way of working and thinking. You will advise/coach/mentor agile leaders and teams to achieve their full potential to deliver value by acting as a change agent, role model, and teacher and will support them as they continue to mature and evolve their understanding and application of agile principles, practices, and behaviors (e.g., leadership, Scrum, MVPs) across their domains, product areas, and squads.
Influencing the approach and behaviors of associates, including product area and domain leaders, to adopt and demonstrate agile principles and practices and the leadership behaviors required to support them
Engaging within and across domains, product areas and squads, to identify and enable opportunities to improve maturity, and providing relevant training, resources, and practices to increase value delivered
Facilitating ongoing training of individuals, teams, and cohorts to build and evolve agile behaviors and practices
Improving agile metrics and value delivered in partnership with scrum masters, squad leaders and product area leaders
Continuously strengthening Fidelity's agile culture and practices by collaborating and sharing findings and knowledge across teams, the Fidelity organization and with fellow coaches
Supporting / educating on good Scrum practices that enable Scaling across squads, product areas, and beyond.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Agile-related certifications such as CSM, PSM, CSPO, CSP, S@S, ICP, or comparable agile experience and education
Deep Agile knowledge with several years of coaching and support
Track record of training, coaching and mentoring teams and individuals at various levels
Jira and Jira Align experience preferred
Scrum@Scale experience preferred
Financial services experience preferred
You have a continuous improvement approach
You assess agile health and maturity and use this to inform your coaching, mentoring and development
You proactively seek out agile practices externally to continuously improve Fidelity's model
You are flexible in your approach and share innovative and creative thinking as you mentor teams and associates through solving problems to deliver increased value
Demonstrable experience coaching a team of teams, or a combination of multiple team coaching engagements and team-of-teams level coaching.
Proven experience in facilitating innovation and organizational change.
You bring your intellectual curiosity, love of learning new skills, innovative and creative thinking to inspire change and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching
You have an Agile leadership style: lead by example and are a trusted advisor, role modeling situations and behaviors, challenge command and control behaviors, value the ideas and opinions of others.
Ability to guide leaders and practitioners in fostering a learning and adaptive environment while challenging, teams, leaders, and associates at all levels of the organization on behavioral changes that will deliver continuous improvement and increased value
The Fidelity Brokerage Technology Agile Coaching Chapter Area has 3 Chapters with over 40 Agile Coaches who support each other in our effort to guide and support our organization in their next step of the agile journey. Over the last few years, we have implemented an agile working model, introduced our squads and product areas to new ways of working, and started influencing a growth mindset across the organization.
