Compensation Range: $85,000 - $110,000

Position Summary:

The Aggregate Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the aggregate production facility, ensuring safe and efficient operations, meeting production targets, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves managing a team of employees, coordinating production schedules, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines. The Plant Manager plays a critical role in driving productivity, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement within the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate daily operations to meet production goals and quality standards.

  • Monitor and analyze production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance and maximize output.

  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment is well-maintained and downtime is minimized.

  • Safety and Environmental Compliance:

  • Ensure a strong safety culture is maintained throughout the plant, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.

  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

  • Implement and enforce safety programs to reduce accidents and incidents.

  • Adhere to environmental regulations and practices to minimize the plant's impact on the environment.

  • Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of plant employees, fostering a positive work environment.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs.

  • Facilitate training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of plant personnel.

  • Production Planning and Reporting:

  • Develop production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and inventory requirements.

  • Analyze production data and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align production with market demands.

  • Quality Control:

  • Ensure product quality meets or exceeds industry standards and customer expectations.

  • Implement quality control processes to detect defects and prevent non-conformities.

  • Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.

  • Budget Management:

  • Manage the plant's budget, monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay updated on industry regulations, permits, and compliance requirements, ensuring the plant meets all legal obligations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in aggregate production, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards related to the industry.

  • Familiarity with production planning and quality control processes.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to address operational challenges.

  • Budget management and cost optimization experience.

  • Valid Driver's License required.
