DEFINITION Under the direction of the Lead Innovation Agent, provides leadership, administrative, and management expertise within the Educational Services Division regarding Early Education. The Agent:

Early Education, is responsible for the management, development, and oversight of professional development, technical assistance, and programmatic guidance for Preschool - Transitional Kindergarten (K-TK) early education programs and initiatives. This individual will be the lead administrator this is responsible for developing, implementing and supporting the San Bernardino County Vision2Read Initiative for countywide early literacy initiatives and programs. The Agent:

Early Education is responsible for leading and developing projects, partnerships, and resources to improve access, equity, and outcomes in early literacy and other early education priorities.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience and Education: • An earned master's degree from an accredited college or university. • Possession of a valid California Teaching credential K-12 • Possession of a valid California Administrative credential K-12. • Possession of EL Authorization or equivalent. • Minimum two (2) years successful experience teaching in the early childhood age groups. • Minimum two (2) years successful service in an administrative or supervisory position in public schools. • Must meet Title 22 requirements for Pre-School Director or be willing to sign an agreement to complete the necessary requirements to obtain the Pre-School Director Permit within two (2) years of being in the position.

A complete application file consists of: • A completed certificated EDJOIN application • Letter of Intent; • An up-to-date resume; • Three (3) Letters of Recommendation must be dated and signed within the last 2 years (typed signatures will not be accepted); • Proof of EL authorization or equivalent (possess or agree to obtain upon employment); • Proof of a valid California Teaching credential K-12; • Proof of a valid California K-12 Administrative credential; • Proof of Title 22 requirements for Pre-School Director or be willing to sign an agreement to complete the necessary requirements to obtain the Pre-School Director Permit within two (2) years of being in the position. • Proof of Masters' degree from an accredited university; • Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications and provide all necessary materials on-line prior to the stated deadline in order to qualify as a candidate.
