Scope of Position: To proactively ensure operational excellence with regard to customer service.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uphold Expeditors' Operational Process Standards, culture, policies, and procedures

  • Support and protect the Expeditors Network

  • Communicate with international and domestic customers and offices

  • Provide exceptional customer service

  • Interact with US Customs and other government agencies

  • Comply with U.S. and foreign regulations

  • Complete product specific and customer service training as required in Expeditors' Professional Development Center

  • Complete relevant certifications

  • Identify Personal Development Plan with Supervisor

  • Understand and assist with the operations of each department

  • Attend all department and branch meetings

  • Support sales staff and manager in new business development as needed

Reporting Structure:

Where applicable, report directly to supervisor/manager.

A bachelor's degree is preferred, but equivalent professional work experience with customer service focus will be considered. Prior industry experience is helpful but not necessarily required.

11am - 8pm

Scope of Position:

  • To proactively ensure operational excellence with regard to customer service, while adhering to company, branch, and government regulations and policies to prepare ocean export shipments for international transport.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Air Export Process

  • Arrange pickup and book cargo for export, transmit EEI, prepare and process AWB, and settle transactions financially with destination offices

  • Proactively communicate with clients to keep them informed of shipment status

  • Review process monitors daily, and update information as needed

  • Uphold Expeditors' Air Export Operational Process Standards, policies and procedures

Training and Development

  • Complete product specific and customer service training as required in Expeditors' Professional Development Center CECS [Certified Export Compliance Specialist Training]

  • Adhere to Expeditors' policy of 52 hours of annual training

  • Identify, develop, and discuss Personal Development Plan with Supervisor

Information / Compliance

  • Review export documentation to ensure all information is complete and accurate

  • Transmit EEI data elements to US census timely and accurately

  • Meet regularly with Air Export Manager/Supervisor and Export Compliance Manager
