Denver Human Services provides assistance benefits and protection and prevention services to one in three Denver residents.
Assistance programs include food, cash and medical benefits, child care, child support, employment first, veterans' services and general assistance for eligible Denver residents.
Protection & Prevention services are provided via child, youth and adult protection, along with community-focused programming, including in-home services, designed to strengthen families and prevent future occurrences of abuse or neglect.
Denver Human Services is currently seeking a highly dedicated, dynamic, proven Agency Training Supervisor to lead training for public assistance program staff in the Family and Adult Assistance Division (FAAD). Our current political and economic landscape requires cutting-edge customer service practices.
This role is critical in providing significant change to critical human service programs to Colorado's largest county.
We invite leaders who enjoy continuous improvement and outstanding customer service to apply for this position, which will manage a staff of seven agency trainers and play a key role in supporting over 415 staff.
The agency trainer supervisor will work directly with the FAAD leadership team, ensuring the training teams' goals and objectives are aligned to the division's strategic initiatives.
In this role, you will supervise employees who act as agency trainers.
The agency trainer provides training to new and veteran employees on specific job-related duties in a classroom setting.
Additionally, the trainers provide technical expertise to staff, and provide on the job training and over the shoulder support as needed.
The supervisor will plan, assign, and review the work of staff members performing a variety of training functions and recommend changes in practices and procedures to increase operating efficiency and expedite work flow.
Research and compile information in instructional areas, prepare appropriate educational materials, and oversees training staff's work on these items as well.
Remains current with new information and standards in the training field.
Will train new staff members in training techniques and methodologies.
Evaluate training/educational programs, divisional work quality information, and upcoming divisional initiatives to appraise the success of the programs in meeting objectives, and recommends revisions or additions when necessary.
Oversee distribution of educational and program-related materials to divisional staff, through various channels.
Meet with various state and local agencies to exchange information pertaining to best practices in training, public assistance program practice, and technology, and implements improved trainings and training techniques.
While the full pay range of this Job Classification is $66,775 - $106,840, our target hiring salary for this position is between $66,775 - $86,808 depending on education, experience and qualifications.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Education, Sociology, Psychology, or a related degree Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience teaching or presenting information in a variety of situations and settings.
Education & Experience Equivalency:
One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of posthigh school education.
A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.
