Job Summary: After School Site Directors are responsible for the safe and orderly operation of their school's after school program, following 21st Century Community Learning Centers' and Polk County School's guidelines in the implementation of that program. Site Directors represent and coordinate all aspects of the After School Program to the school community including school teachers and administration, students and parents.

Essential Functions:

1.Maintain Student records and rosters, maintaining student confidentiality at all times. This includes the student attendance records which are to be reported to the Program Director at the beginning of each month.

2.Manage all aspects of field trips to ensure safety of the students and employees. Ensuring that all necessary paperwork is complete prior to the field trip.

3.The Site Director shall maintain a daily count of snacks using the provided form and send/fax on the last day of the month to the 21st CCLC office assistant.

4.The Site Director shall communicate and publicly display all required information including activity schedule, activity schedules, emergency numbers, snack schedule, 21st CCLC logo and any other information deemed appropriate by the Program Director and 21st CCLC Program requirements.

5.Communicate with teacher/tutors and daytime teachers on an ongoing basis to continually assess each individual 21st CCLC student's academic status.

6.Communicate regularly and in a timely manner with their School Principal to keep them informed of student/parent issues.

7.Plan enrichment activities that reflect and enhance the academic day and shall be aligned with Common Core and NC Essential Standards and which reflect 21st Century Community Learning Centers program Goals and Objectives.

8.Site Directors shall also coordinate staff for the optimal function of the overall program. Assigning duties as necessary and in conjunction with the Afterschool Program Director, evaluating staff performance of each employee.

9.Operate a homework lab each day according to the daily schedule, working with tutors and staff members to assist students with daily assignments. Communicate with parents regarding the results of our homework/tutoring session in after school on that day.

10.The Site Director shall manage all Afterschool program equipment and materials ensuring appropriate use and accounting of all Afterschool program property throughout the school year.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

1.High school diploma.

2.Prior Experience working with school age children

Terms of Employment: 10 months - $20.00 per hour

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually
