Afternoon Nanny / Household Manager in Sherborn, Massachusetts

Nanny/Household Manager needed for a family of four with two children aged 9 and 10 years old and a pet. Both children school in Waltham and Lincoln. Must be pet friendly, there is a 22-pound Frenchie/Boston Terrier mix who will need care. Ideal candidate is responsible and is an EXCELLENT DRIVER with a clean driving record.

Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Start date: ASAP

Benefits: 1 week paid vacation, 2 sick/personal days, major holidays

Job Responsibilities:

Childcare:

• Pick Up & Transport: Pick up children from school at 4:45 PM and transport them to activities. The children attend schools in Waltham and Lincoln, which are approximately 10 minutes away.
• Homework Help: Assist with homework and support learning needs.
• After School Care: Supervise and engage with the children in the afternoons.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare meals and snacks for the children.

Household Management:

• Household Tasks: Perform light child-related cleaning, laundry, and kitchen duties.
• Errands: Manage grocery shopping and miscellaneous errands.
• Organization: Maintain an organized household environment.
• Pet Care: Let the Frenchie/Boston Terrier out and feed him.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 1:30PM - 6:30 PM
• 25 hours per week guaranteed.
• Flexibility: Be open to working two weekends per month and occasional evenings out.
• Extra Hours: If children are enrolled in afterschool programs, additional hours may include more household tasks and errands.

Requirements:

• Driver’s License: Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Car: A car will be provided for child-related transportation needs. Personal use of the car can be discussed.
• Parking: Private parking is available.
• Provide 3-5 professional references.
• Experience with children who have learning differences is a plus.
• A strong organizational skill set and flexibility are essential.
