Overview

Daifuku America Corporation is a leader in Design, Manufacturing, Installation and Support of factory and distribution automation/material handling systems in North America. The company is currently seeking an experienced Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

Responsible for establishing and identifying accounts, concepts, and material handling systems. Must work with estimating to develop pricing and proposals, and negotiate contracts. Must be a highly motivated self-starter

Develop plans to business from Key Accounts and provide management with required information for pricing decisions and product development. Determine customer needs and critique proposed material handling systems to determine the likelihood of the customer purchasing. Meet with customers, review jobsites, occasional limited climbing. Identify capable subcontractors in local areas to assist Estimating in the proposal effort. This includes taking contractors on "job walks" as required. Develop close customer relationships with Key decision makers in purchasing, engineering, and at the plant levels.

Other responsibilities

  • Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Provides product, service, or equipment, technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.

  • Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedule.

  • Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel.

  • Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.

  • Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.

  • Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff; costing engineering changes.

  • Develops customer's staff by providing technical information and training.

  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; advising customer on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements; advising customer on needed actions.

  • Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

  • Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers

  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support

  • Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery

  • Plan and modify products to meet customer needs

  • Help clients solve problems with installed equipment, work with installation department.

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers

  • Prepare schedules, charts, and support installations.

  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support

  • Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery

  • Plan and modify products to meet customer needs

  • Help clients solve problems with installed equipment

  • Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production

  • Help in researching and developing new products

Qualifications

Problem Solving, Product Knowledge, Selling to Customer Needs, Software Requirements, Product Development, Presentation Skills, General Programming Skills, Technical Understanding, Verbal Communication, Requirements Analysis, Innovation. Good communication skills, good with people, self-motivated, detailed oriented, experienced in installation and commissioning of conveyor systems. knowledgeable in PLC programming (AB and GE), ability to do sales, experience in estimating, willing to travel both national and International, work in a team environment, can work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Experience

A four year bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
4-5 years' experience

The company is currently seeking an experienced Assembler II for the facility in Reynoldsburg, OH. Responsibilities The primary goal is satisfying customer requirements of quality, quantity, and delivery, in a safe manner, while maximizing productivity. Specifically, the Assembler II is responsible for all job activities required to support production processes. These activities include but are not limited to: performing mechanical assembly work which is typically of high complexity and/or requires fitting, alignment and adjustment of components, units and assemblies to very close tolerances. Other responsibilities: * Assist with training new hires * Read and understand blue prints and/or verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision * Be able to locate all parts and hardware as needed * Part inspection before assembly * Layout work * Assemble product as needed, shimming, grinding, setting dimensions * Assemble larger parts to maintain working order and disassemble for shipping as needed * Touch up paint, clean up, and get ready for shipping * Documents actions of final assemblies by completing production and quality forms * Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources * Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices and procedures. Also, be aware of activity in the work surroundings and maintain a clean and safe work area * Properly use personal protective equipment when required * Maintain regular attendance – have reliable means of transportation * Perform other tasks as assigned Qualifications Prior manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
