ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reviews supplier generated FAIR documentation for required content to AS9102 requirements and conformance to all applicable technical requirements
Ensures FAIR deficiencies are resolved by following up with suppliers (or other related parties).
Assesses quality requirements by assuring all applicable procedures and specifications are followed. Reviews inspection and test results, compares results with specifications, and confirms reports are properly completed.
Acts as a liaison between quality function and customer/supplier quality representatives by gathering and providing information; and coordinating meetings
Provides information to leadership by reporting nonconformance, observations, trends, and quality related concerns.
Analyzes application of unique requirements for selected suppliers (i.e. Sampling Plans, SPC) against Parker requirement criteria.
Compile internally generated FAIR documentation. Navigate documentation systems to retrieve applicable certifications and input attribute and measurement results into the FAIR package

Learn more today! www.bendix.com/careers Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing hands-on engineering laboratory and vehicle testing assignments associated with the following; product support, research & development or a major Engineering development project. In addition to performing test assignments, the successful candidate will be responsible for; analyzing results, developing conclusions based on results and making recommendations in writing. The candidate will also independently evaluate problems or opportunities, identifies solutions and applies standard engineering analysis tools to evaluate and select solutions. Essential Functions: * Design, fabricate, and execute complicated pneumatic automotive product tests. * Supports other Bendix Engineers in the testing of existing and new air dryer products by reviewing, creating and conducting laboratory tests. * Able to perform all design, production and customer support testing on air dryer and associated products. * Use data acquisition equipment to measure and record; temperature, pressure, flow, force, humidity, travel and other required data. * Must be able to draw and communicate conclusions based on test results generated. * Ability to communicate well with subordinates, colleagues and management in presenting results of work performed. * Perform failure analysis on prototype assemblies, production parts and field returns. * Assist with problem solving analysis. * Actively participate in critical design review of potential new products. * Manages field test program for new products, by installing test hardware and tracking mileage and performance. * Support work related to development of engineering documents including; design specification, DFMEA and DVP&R. Experience: * For the Engineer I position no experience required. * For the Engineer II position a minimum of 2 years' experience is required. * Testing experience in heavy-duty truck, bus and/or automotive components is a plus. Skills: * Correctly utilize data acquisition equipment with test and measurement devices to acquire valuable information. * Ability to dimensionally measure component parts with micrometers, height gage, depth gage, calipers, etc. * Ability to acquire, assimilate, analyze data quickly and efficiently. * Author clear and concise engineering procedures and reports. * Ability to work with a variety of hand tools to install, test and remove Air Treatment devices, both in a lab environment and in field installation of hardware. * Capable of prioritizing time/resources/ goals and possess strong interpersonal skills to ensure success in a cross-functional, team environment. * Ability to plan and organize technical projects. * Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and a positive/proactive work ethic. * Ability to work in a team oriented customer focused organization. * Must have good Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills. * Experience in statistical Design of Experiment methods a plus. * Desire experience in operating typical machine shop equipment including; drill press, milling machine, lathe and welder. * In-depth knowledge of air brake systems is a plus.
