Job Description:

The Visual Charting Team on the NISC III contract is an Aeronautical Information team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). We are seeking a highly motivated Aeronautical Information Analyst to assist the Leidos Visual Charting Team as well as the FAA in creating Aeronautical Charts. The charts are to support the National Airspace System (NAS). The Visual Charting Team creates and maintains electronic products that fall within Visual Flight Rules (VFR) category including Sectional, Terminal Area Charts (TAC), Flyway and Helicopter charts.

Responsibilities will be:

  • Learning Aeronautical Information

  • Analyzing the National Flight Data Digest (NFDD)

  • Utilizing various software to produce charts

  • Analyze Aerial Photography

  • Interact with FAA Visual Team members and FAA Management LeadGen LeadGenAnalystL

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geography or related discipline from an accredited

College or University

  • Knowledge in Bentley Microstation

  • CAD Software

  • Knowledge in Esri Geographic Information System (GIS)
