A week in the life of an AEGIS SPY Radar Trainer:
- Provide dynamic teaching, training and assessment up to the officer level.
- Review and analyze U.S. Navy Aegis Combat System Engineering Capabilities and Limitations and U.S. Navy Operational and Tactical doctrine
- Integrate and conceptualizes the execution of Doctrine .
- Conduct dynamic assessment of the sailors' abilities.
- Observe and assess contemporaries during Practice and Certification Teaches per requirements NAVEDTRA 130 series.
- Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guide.
- Support Course Reviews and Curriculum Updates.
- Conduct training gap analysis.
- Document the training conducted with specifics of the individual areas / watch station.
- Generate formal assessment of measure of success.
- Establishe and review course content and objectives.
- Conduct training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Secret Clearance
- Travel may be required up to 10% of time including ship embarkment for 5-10 days.
At least six (6) years of experience:
- As either a maintenance technician supervisor or operator supervisor with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task
At least one (1) year of experience:
- As an instructor in a Navy Training Environment

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $65 - 75K. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
