Microdesk is seeking an AECO Technical Solutions Engineer who has a deep understanding of the AEC Industry and latest technologies and processes, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC), to join our team. You will be heavily focused on pre-sales and responsible for collaborating with the Sales Team to uncover opportunities with existing and new clients. Your primary goal is to close consulting services by working collaboratively alongside the sales team.

Work hand-in-glove with the sales team to assist with client meetings, identifying business opportunities, crafting proposals, and account strategy
Aid the sales team on conference calls and meetings by providing a technical and industry perspective to technology and workflow/process improvement.
Develop SOW's, project plans and actionable goals that help drive our consulting services
Build a project (opportunity) pipeline and have a weekly meeting with the sales team to review current pipeline and action items needed to move opportunities forward.
Maintain current working and implementation knowledge of the traditional and non-traditional technologies and effective workflow improvements including,
talking with consultants on entanglements,
taking part on engagements and attending conferences,
being able to provide relevant, fresh data to meetings and calls
Handing off engagements to the Director of Consulting to ensure successful delivery
Group meetings with the VP of Global Consulting and EVP of Global Sales
Incentive compensation is based on your ability to help the sales team close business
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a field such as Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
Professional registrations and/or industry accreditations (i.e. AIA, LEED, PE, BIM-CM) a plus
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the AEC industry
Knowledge and experience with BIM workflows, use of BIM, and infrastructure analysis software of complex projects
Professional experience using Autodesk products including the Revit Suite, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360 preferably.
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
