AE1107C Field Service Representative

Cannon Air Force Base - Clovis, NM

As an AE1107C Field Service Representative for Rolls-Royce, you'll support the aircraft system and provide technical guidance to the customer by establishing and maintaining a close liaison with relevant sections of the customer's organization, Rolls-Royce Customer Support, Engineering and Program Management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrating a high level of professional attitude and bearing with focus on customer service.

  • Providing first line troubleshooting assistance to onsite customer and assist with interpretation of all technical and operational requirements.

  • Utilizing and supporting Rolls-Royce and customers databases and diagnostic software programs on generated technical queries.

  • Writing technical reports based on findings related to engine technical issues

  • Ability to travel on short notice domestically or internationally in support of customer requests for extended periods of one month or more.

  • Briefing Rolls-Royce on specific recommendations and improvements required to deliver improved propulsion capability/engine output.

  • Reviewing engineering changes with regard to their effect on the product in the field, and coordinate communication plans with customers on impact on operations.

  • Managing all technical and support chain matters that impact the customer relationship

Basic:

  • An Associates' degree and 8+ years of experience in jet engine maintenance and/or an aviation in-field customer support role OR;

  • A Bachelor`s degree and 4+ years of experience in jet engine maintenance and/or an aviation in-field customer support role OR;

  • A Masters degree and 2+ years of experience in jet engine maintenance and/or an aviation in-field customer support role OR;

  • In lieu of a degree 12+ years of experience jet engine maintenance and/or an aviation in-field customer support role

  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship

Preferred:

  • Prior Field Service experience in aviation maintenance or in an aviation customer support role

  • Computer competency using Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project.

  • Experience working on AE1107C engines

This is an exciting opportunity as you'll liaise with the customer, being a subject matter expert on technical issues which also includes supporting site visits, engine operation, maintenance, safety briefs field training, accident investigations and in-flight test evaluations. Key Accountabilities * Providing assistance on technical issues to include, written communication, phone calls and electronic media relating to aircraft engine operations, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and logistics support * Reviewing engineering changes with regards to their effect on the product in the field, including maintenance manual updates and coordinating communication plans with Customers on impact to their operations * Collaborating with Customer Training Services, developing and conducting supplemental training to maintenance activities through on-the-job training and classroom instruction as appropriate * Utilizing and supporting Rolls-Royce and Customer databases and diagnostic software programs to respond to technical and operational queries * Supporting Manager(s) in executing AE 2100 Program and Deployed Services responsibilities * Complying with any requirement to relocate assignment as determined by the business and/or the Customer to ensure Rolls-Royce business objectives and contract deliverables are met and Customer operational needs are supported * Providing technical support during conferences and program reviews at the request of Rolls-Royce and/or the Customer * Travelling on short notice domestically or internationally in support of campaigns, AOG situations and/or Customer requests for extended periods of one month or more * Travelling up to 75% of the time, both internationally and domestically Rolls-Royce is a Military Friendly Employer.
