We offer a full-time position as a Advocate in our Guaynabo, PR office.The position reports to the Advocate Supervisor in the Member Services division.Our Advocates are professionals who interact with health plan members through outbound and inbound telephonic contact to complete various intake services.

Available shifts

10:00 AM-7:00 PM (During Daylight Savings)

09:00 AM-6:00 PM

What will I be responsible for in this job?

  • Interact with health plan members through outbound and inbound telephonic contact to review and assess health plan member's eligibility for services.

  • Achieve individual growth and production goals.

  • Contribute to the department's success by succeeding at departmental and quality metrics.

  • Review correspondences and/or inquiries from the health plan members to determine needs and fast track highly qualified cases.

  • Acknowledge, follow-up, and close out correspondence and/or inquiries as assigned.

  • Professional demeanor and dependable work ethic

  • Excellent data entry and internet navigation skills

  • Ability to talk and maneuver computer applications simultaneously

  • Ability to provide quality customer service during every interaction with health plan member's

  • Maintain a confident, helpful, and positive tone on all calls

  • Efficiently manage customer calls and multiple computer application

  • Stay informed with current knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements.

  • Comply with all company and department operational guidelines and policies.

  • Participate in Change Healthcare staff and operational development programs as assigned.

What are the requirements?

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED. Associates degree or college coursework preferred with a focus in Health Care Administrative, Business, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Verifiable experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the functions of the position.
  • 2-3 years of call center experience

What are critical skills needed to perform this position?

  • Experience within the health care industry. Prefer general knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care.

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and MS Outlook

  • Experienced in a sales, production or goal driven environment

What other skills are helpful?

  • Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish)

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Demonstrates patience and empathy.

  • Business demeanor and skills with the ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written and listening skills).

  • Ability to successfully market, sell, and promote company services in an outbound call center (production driven) environment.

  • Professional behavior with courteous, polite and energetic qualities.

  • High commitment to accuracy, high quality work, and detail-oriented.

  • Must be driven and motivated to exceed individual and team goals.

  • Able to learn and adapt to changing environments, applications and software.

How much should I expect to travel? No travel is needed

The TAS mission is to assist taxpayers in resolving their problems with the IRS (Case Advocacy), and to identify and propose administrative and legislative solutions to mitigate those problems (Systemic Advocacy). As a Quality Analyst in the Taxpayer Advocate Service, you will be responsible for reviewing TAS cases and analyzing quality results. This may involve interactions with TAS analysts and technical experts to determine whether TAS took correct technical and procedural actions. You will participate in the development and refinement of quality programs including measures. You will analyze areas of program operations, systems, and procedures. Based on your analysis, you will develop and recommend modifications to quality programs and procedures, as well as, IRMs and other official processing guidance to enhance efficiencies and correct deficiencies. You will identify trends and system failures and recommend best practices and solutions. You will support quality outreach efforts by conducting analysis to support preparation of information to promote outreach objectives. You will also prepare presentation materials for you and others and will serve as an instructor and subject matter expert. As a Quality Analyst you will: * Analyze closed cases to identify inefficiencies and inequities. Review and analyze TAS cases to identify underlying causes of problems and report the overall balanced measures results. Interact with other TAS analysts and technical advisors, as well as employees in other functions, to determine the technical and procedural accuracy taken on TAS cases, when applicable. * Participate in the development and refinement of program requirements and measures. Analyze areas of program operations, systems, and procedures; develop and recommend modifications to correct program deficiencies. Prepare feeder reports used for studies of systemic problems and revisions of IRM's and quality standards. * Support TAS PPQ publicity outreach efforts.
