Summary:

The Advisory Senior Associate is responsible for delivering a full range of services to clients and all phases of project and engagement management for multiple clients. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and completing information systems audits and business process control review engagements; developing and supervising staff; and assisting in client management and practice development activities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leading Managing and Holding People Accountable (LMA)

  • Learn and begin applying growth process (participates in assigned RC, pipeline support, COPs, etc.)

  • Supervises the engagement (job) / ensures QC (technical) standards

  • Takes care of the client (meets deadlines, timely communications

  • Develops engagement team (prepares seniors to the next level)

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with the Manager to prepare slide decks, status reports, assessment reports and other client deliverables;

  • Actively participate in methodology review/development discussions with clients;

  • Stay up to date on legislation as it relates to government pricing in order to provide consultation to clients;

  • Assess current data structures and data sets of clients in order to develop methodology and to perform parallel calculations validating these methodologies;

  • Work with integration and operations teams to set up ongoing methodologies in proprietary system

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal questions about client data and methodologies

  • Work closely with the ongoing analysts to ensure a smooth transition for the client

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
  • 2+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment, auditing financial statements
  • CPA Certification or demonstrated progress towards obtaining CPA certification, including required coursework

  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English.

  • Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently; lead small teams focused on specific work streams of larger projects.

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

  • Eagerness to mentor junior staff

  • Willingness to travel

Scope An experienced Associate position is available in FAS' Dispute Resolution and Financial Expert Opinions practice. Associates in our FAS business play a key role on our engagement teams, which typically comprise at least one Managing Director, Vice President, Associate and one or more Financial Analysts. As an Associate in our Dispute Resolution practice, your primary activities will include daily management of Financial Analyst teams as well as constructing and reviewing valuation, lost profits/business damages, and other financial models; performing financial-statement, industry and other quantitative and qualitative assessments; attending due diligence meetings; communicating with clients; designing and drafting deliverables; presenting analyses and conclusions internally to review committees as well as possible external presentations to our clients' senior management, Boards of Directors, and retained counsel; directing the efforts of Financial Analysts; and assisting with sales, marketing and research initiatives. Qualified candidates will have additional accountability for development of project approach, oversight, methodologies, and analytical frameworks, and have incremental client visibility and responsibilities including business development.
