This position processes direct business and new brokerage accounts. The purpose of the position is to review the business for licensing and completeness before it is sent to a registered principal for review and approval.

Essential Functions

  • Process account service requests which include but are not limited to new account opening, account maintenance, Corestone/Resource checking, entering W-9s, Select Link, PES and money market changes.
  • Identify and take appropriate action to correct all NIGO (Not in good order) documents.
  • Confirm that appropriate documentation is on file for each transaction i.e. New Account Forms.
  • Accurately process asset movement requests and account opening/maintenance requests.
  • Directly communicates with registered representatives and clients primarily by telephone.
  • Contact representatives by phone or email when paperwork is not in good order. (NIGO)
  • Directly communicates with Pershing for client and rep questions regarding account setup, changes, and follow-up.
  • Spends a good part of the day answering calls.
  • Works with clients who call to unlock NetX360 Investor access and to assist them with navigational issues.
  • Monitors status of documents submitted to Pershing for approval.
  • Prepare and maintain various excel spreadsheet logs.

  • Ability to deal with conflict and challenging confrontations.


  • Associates of Arts degree desired but not required.
  • Banking Experience prefered
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Previous Pershing NetX360 experience desirable but not necessary.
  • Experience in an industry that required strong customer service skills, a positive demeanor, sound judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, reading comprehension, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to manage several simultaneous tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability for attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a fast pace team environment that required strong collaboration among members.

VIEW JOBS 1/22/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-21T00:00 The Staff Desktop Support Specialist works under limited supervision and assists users with technical support of desktop computers, applications, mobile devices and related technology. Essential Job Functions: * Provide quality Tier II support to end-users including complex support for hardware (laptop, desktop, mobile devices), software, and applications including connectivity to network. * Provide support, guidance and training on the function and usability of business applications. * Work with development teams to identify and report issues, test new releases, and provide customer training of business applications. * Conducts customer education sessions on a regular schedule to ensure our customer base is aware of, how to use, and the business applicability of current and new FINRA Technology products and services. * Provide overflow of support with Tier I issues, as well as supporting Desktop Engineers with project based work. * Escalate more complex/unique cases to Tier III internal and/or external support team(s), as needed. * Travel on-site (office, cubicle, etc.) to remedy issues not solved by phone/email. * Equipment setup for new hires/terms/transfers. * Recognize common patterns in cases to uncover related and new problems. * Assist or coordinate implementation of OS updates, software upgrades or installs, security patches, clean/remove malware. * Support audio/visual equipment as needed for conference or meeting setups * Setup new hires: configure desktop/laptops, printer access, email, and educate new users on IT processes. * Assist with refresh of hardware and software when employees have office moves. * Provision mobile computing devices and resolve connectivity issues. * Administer alternative desktop solutions such as Virtual desktop and terminal servers, and configure remote access devices. * Proactively seek guidance on issues requiring additional clarity or instruction from others and share knowledge with more junior desktop support specialists and help desk specialists. * Learn new and/or infrequently used technologies and train team members on the functions and support of these technologies. * Modify and/or enhance existing procedures. * Research and document solutions to newly identified problems and update written procedures accordingly. * Recognize common patterns in cases to uncover related and new problems. * Write technical documents outlining methods for solving common issues. * Provide support for video conference meetings with remote connectivity. * Ensure all work products meets/exceeds FINRA standards. * Assist with adherence to technology policies and comply with all security controls. * Develop broad knowledge of the environment, applications, and technology used throughout FINRA Education/Experience Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent with at least three (3) years of related experience assisting end users in a help desk or desktop support environment. * Knowledge of internally developed applications and footprint of departments that use them. * Experience installing and troubleshooting patches, hardware, software, network, and printing issues on multiple types of devices. * Experience with Active Directory, MS Office suite, remote tools, and at least one (1) Operating System. * Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. * Ability to adapt and learn new technologies. * Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on detail and follow up * Ability to translate technical activities in a manner appropriate for diverse audiences. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Work Conditions: * Work is normally performed in an office environment. * Occasional extended hours may be required. * Travel to other offices to provide support on an as needed basis. * Overnight travel may be required on a scheduled or unscheduled basis.
