This position serves as a knowledge resource for advisors and Credit Union members regarding CUNA Brokerage Services, Inc. The Advisor Services Team is responsible for increasing field productivity by providing Advisors with information and guidance on broker/dealer securities investment procedures, requirements, and navigation, and use of technology tools and systems. This position interprets advisors and Credit Union member questions, concerns or challenges within the brokerage arena and responds appropriately and accurately.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handles incoming and outgoing investment brokerage securities telephone calls to and from advisors and Credit Union members, using resources available to answer questions or provide alternative solutions.

  • Provides written field communications to effectively educate advisors on procedures, rules and/or regulations of the securities industry, clearing firm or CBSI.

  • Uses all available tools such as system information, written procedures, forms and knowledge from others to education advisors and members.

  • Become a subject matter expert in areas affecting the advisors, serving as a primary resource for them.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the securities industry and regulatory environment

  • Advanced customer service skills with demonstrated experience, ability to negotiate through conflict over the phone effectively

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience in providing effective guidance and leadership to advisors, members and team members

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
