Basic Functions: The Advisor Services Manager will play a pivotal role in supervising the day-to-day operational responsibilities of their team. Under the supervision of the Sr. Leader, Operations and Service, the Manager is responsible for leading a hybrid team of service and operations associates. Within the role, you will be a part of a broader team that is responsible for both the service and processing of advisor work. This work can include but is not limited to inbound/outbound calls from advisors, new accounts, purchased, and transfers.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

Operations Management:

  • Manage, monitor, and track workflow input/output to ensure service levels are met. Provide statistical information for executive and management use.

  • Develop and maintain written standard operating procedures, how-to documents, and workflow diagrams for completing activities on incoming and outgoing requests.

  • Troubleshoot and solve service requests, money movements, and applications for new and existing clients.

  • Ensure work is appropriately prioritized in partnership with Priority Advisor requests.

Service Leadership:

  • Collaborate with internal partners and teams in support of the advisor/client relationship to resolve complex issues in a practical and helpful manner.

  • Proactively cultivate relationships with branch personnel, financial representatives as well as other external & internal customers.

  • Lead quarterly business reviews with assigned Advisor/Branches.

  • Participate in and/or lead staff and operations meetings, write executive notes, and work on special management projects as required. Provide backup assistance to team members as necessary; perform other duties and responsibilities.

Team Leadership:

  • Hires, evaluates, and supervises staff. Conducts performance evaluations and establishes and monitors individual and team goals in conjunction with Lincoln's strategic and business plans.

  • Provides guidance/coaching to staff on handling more complex issues. May serve as the initial point of contact for escalated issues.

  • Provides ongoing support, supervision, training, and development opportunities for team members, offering guidance and informing best practices. (i.e., side-by-side call coaching sessions)

  • Assist with approvals and overrides as needed to ensure workflow and risk mitigation.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the Financial Services/Investment Operations industry. Experience with another transfer agent, broker/dealer, or mutual fund company.

  • Thorough knowledge of retirement plans, customer service, transaction processing, and compliance.

  • 2-3 yrs. previous supervisory/management experience or prior experience owning a business

  • Licensing: SIE and Series 99 or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.

  • Ability to maintain knowledge base of multiple products and services

  • Previous financial background

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables in situations with limited guidance

  • A strong fundamental understanding of Securities Operations

Education/Training: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Formal or informal knowledge of the financial planning discipline.

Physical/Other Requirements: View computer screen for extended periods of time. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as needed. May be required to lift 25 lbs.
