We provide advertisers with the ability to reach more than 6.2 million households in the New York DMA using a variety of advanced advertising products, including the ability to place ads on more than 85 cable networks as well as planning and campaign measurement.

The Account Executive is responsible for generating revenue from sale of local commercial air time provided on the cable networks carried by the New York Interconnect, and advanced products to qualified agencies and clients. Account Executive will work on assigned agency/client list and also be responsible for developing new, un-tapped opportunities to fulfill billing goals.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals for all required sales categories, including linear, digital, news, etc per yearly comp plan

  • Build relationships with clients and agencies continuously

  • Perform post buy analysis when needed

  • Sell high profile events, sporting events and packages

  • Entertain clients

  • Maintain Salesforce (ALM) daily and weekly, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date

  • Attend sales meetings

  • Manage sold inventory, makegoods and orders

  • Identify opportunities to raise rates and maximize inventory

  • Partner with research and marketing to prepare presentations for clients

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Media or related discipline

  • 5 years or more experience in major market television, radio sales or ther media related business

  • Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of media negotiations, a successful track record, and a strong background in business development.

  • Strong communications, time management and organizational skills required

  • Must have computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc

  • Previous direct experience working with the New York Interconnect required
