Adventureland Campground - Maintenance

The Campground Maintenance Team Member provides support to the Maintenance Manager to ensure a successful operation. This position is guest-focused and has consistent interaction with all team members in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities

• Performs campground preventative maintenance as needed

• Promptly responds to reports of problems and concerns

• Assists all guests and Workampers in a courteous manner

• Assists in maintaining the pool, hub and general area of the property according to local codes

• Maintains the grounds in a neat, clean, safe and attractive manner

• Performs repairs following established safety standards and wearing necessary safety equipment

• Keeps Maintenance Manager fully informed of all problems for timely and corrective action

• Is available as a primary maintenance person in absence of the Maintenance Manager

• Aids all other team members

• Maintains all storage areas, shops, and mechanical areas in a clean, safe, organized, and secure manner

• Additional duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager or General Manager

• Safely operate company owned trucks, forklifts, and other equipment

Education: No education is required

Languages: English

Skills:

• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building construction

• Knowledge of common power and hand tools

• Ability to perform task-oriented repetitive functions consistently, on-time, and error free

• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices

• Ability to follow instructions

• Demonstrate a team player attitude

• Ability to be patient and creatively problem solve

• Follow instructions of daily projects and procedures

• Constant repetitive motion

• Continually able to lift, push, pull and carry up to a 100lbs and on occasion more than 100 lbs.

• Constantly be able to stand and walk for long periods of time

• Frequent kneeling, bending, twisting motions

• Often squatting and crouching

• Sporadically able to work in confined spaces

• Consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools

• See differences between colors and brightness

• See details of objects that are more than a few feet away

• Able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals

• Able to tolerate heat and humidity

• Sporadically work in all areas of the property including working outside

• Is subject to frequent interruptions and may need to reprioritize activities

• Subject to working on scaffolds and ladders

• Subject to the handling of and exposure to chemicals, detergents, and cleaners

• Is subject to exposure to bloodborne pathogens

• Regularly work with motorized equipment, vehicles, and machinery

• Consistent communication with other departments

Experience: No previous experience required.
