Adventure Activity Instructor
SUMMARY
The Adventure Activity Instructor is responsible for facilitating and teaching a wide variety of adventure and environmental-based activities for rental and school group programs. In addition, every position in the YMCA of Greensboro is responsible for upholding the Judeo-Christian principles that are central to our mission by modeling behaviors that exemplify the four pillars of character - caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Salary Range: Starting at $100/day (additional compensation available for overnight staff)
Regular Hours: Hours and days will vary depending on group needs, subject to scheduling. Nights and weekends will be frequent. Our Busy Season runs from Aug-Nov and then again Feb-May
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Serve as a gracious group host, providing a high-quality experience and serving as a direct point of contact for each attending group.
Lead and oversee a diverse range of activities, including Teambuilding Exercises, High Ropes, Low Ropes, Sports, Archery, Canoes and Group Games. Training will be provided for these activities.
Collaborate with the Retreat Program Director and Maintenance Director on light-duty maintenance and housekeeping tasks during non-group periods.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
