Advanced Weapons Test Engineer

The Challenge:

How do we know if systems we deploy to warfighters in the desert will work in the intense dry heat? How can we be sure equipment we design can actually be used by a day-to-day user without an engineering background? When you build some of the most mission critical systems in the world, you can't leave anything to chance. That's why we need you - a test engineer who understands the operational environment and how to make sure our systems will solve real problems in the real world.

As a test engineer leading our team, you'll help clients understand the functionality and performance of 4th and 5th generation platforms and weapon systems. Far beyond a simple pass/fail, your team will create evaluations that use statistical data to design the most efficient and effective tests. Your team's ability to test a full range of functions in operationally representative scenarios will ensure warfighters worldwide can rely on their weapon systems equipment. Once testing is complete, your team will provide test reports with recommendations that reflect real-world understanding of system capabilities and limitations. As a technical leader, this is an opportunity to use your experience to shape test engineering while expanding expertise in the development and operational testing of advanced weapon systems. Join us as we use technical and engineering skills to develop and evaluate weapon system solutions to support DoD warfighters.

Empower change with us.

You Have:

  • 8 years of experience in developmental testing or operational testing, including platforms or weapons

  • Knowledge of analyzing and drawing conclusions regarding test mission results and writing technical reports for technical level reviews

  • Ability to research, analyze, and interpret high-level military guidelines

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BS degree in Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with creating verbal and written communication products for clients

  • Knowledge of airpower plans and procedures for conducting military operations to evaluate mission readiness of new or modified weapon systems including military rated aviator, such as pilot or navigator expertise as it applies to assigned programs

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • MS degree in Engineering

  • Test Pilot School or Weapons School Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
