An Advanced System Integration and Test Engineer job in Pittsfield, MA is currently available through Belcan with one of our premiere defense client. In this role, you will be responsible for system test design, development, and execution in the Fire Control Engineering Test Facilities. You will also be responsible for system and subsystem functional requirement verification testing. To be considered for this role, you will have a BS Degree in Systems Engineering, a related specialized area or field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A current active Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at the time of hire.

Advanced System Integration and Test Engineer Job duties:

  • System and subsystem external interface design verification.

  • System and subsystem performance requirement verification.

  • Performs requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of subsystem or system elements under supervision of the lead systems engineer.

  • Performs detailed technical analyses for a subsystem or system elements.

  • Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle.

Qualifications:

  • Fully proficient in development of test and verification strategies and test plans.

  • Fully proficient in application of test methodologies.

  • Fully proficient in the use of test tools such as DOORS and/or Wire Shark.

  • Fully proficient with requirements management & system modeling tools.

Responsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced Undersea Programs Systems Test Engineer. The primary responsibilities of the Advanced Undersea Programs Systems Test Engineer include: requirements development/management, writing test procedures, running tests in lab environment, maintaining and providing schedule status, and mentoring junior Systems Test Engineers. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
