Provide medical evaluations and treatment of patients at facility under the supervisor of the Medical Director and work collaboratively with the medical/clinical staff under the guidelines of state licensure for Nurse Practitioners.
Work in a collaborative/consultative relationship with the Medical Director.
Obtain an appropriate comprehensive or problem focused health history from the patient.
Employ appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and regimens including but not limited to pharmacological, behavioral, and other non-pharmacological treatment modalities.
Provide guidance and counseling regarding management of the health/illness condition.
Communicate the patient's health status using appropriate terminology, format, and technology.
Respond timely and appropriately in behavioral crisis.
Progress notes are completed as indicated by regulation and patient need.
Progress notes are legible and reflect appropriate content
Adhere to organizational & safety policies and procedures, rules, and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Must be currently licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
Current professional license, per state regulations/requirements, may also require a current DEA license.
First Aid, CPR, de-escalation and restraint certification required.
