Job Purpose

Ideal candidates will assist and support Advanced Quality Engineering projects under the guidance of the Advanced Quality Engineering team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform Global Product Development audits.

  • Cooperate in consolidation of the Quality Plan according to the Global Product Development Process (GPDP).

  • Cooperate in a key quality activity in development of control plan, project risk assessment, design FMEA, process FMEA including corrective action plans.

  • Cooperate in Advanced Quality KPI reporting and data management.

  • Support GPDP and EOS activities inside the Advanced Quality Engineering department, special attention for project priorities, problem solving, and risk assessment.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have curiosity toward technical aspects of mechanical and electrical components as well as to lean-manufacturing approach. Proactive toward problem-solving activities related to the Quality Department.

Projects

Participate in at least one quality project applying Control Plan, PPAP, Quality Launch Plan, or Quality Process Improvement under the supervision of the Advanced Quality Engineering team.

Education

Studying Bachelor of Science in Engineering or similar technical discipline

KPI's

  • Completion of key quality activity

  • Actively participate in the Product Development phase

Support the identification of project risks and required actions to mitigate them and problem solving focusing on effective and robust technical solutions</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Drive the Quality mindset within project teams</p></li><li><p>Drive project teams to flawless project execution using the risk assessment process to manage priorities and collaboration of cross functional teams</p></li><li><p>Develop and define project Quality plans based on APQP process</p></li><li><p>Coach and train co-workers on Quality methods and tools</p></li><li><p>Develop, implement and monitor Quality KPIs</p></li><li><p>Develop and support development of new components/process with supplier, drive for excellence in part quality</p></li><li><p>Coordinate and drive Problem solving activities within the projects with focus to prevention</p></li><li><p>Guide and drive process quality activities in the manufacturing environment in preparation for series production</p></li><li><p>Coordinate and manage PPAP dossiers in preparation for series production</p></li><li><p>Support Development activities of critical, troubleshooting and problem solving whenever required</p></li><li><p>Prepare and issue weekly Quality Status Report for new projects</p></li><li><p>Moderate Design and Process FMEAs</p></li><li><p>Develop along with cross-functional NPI teams control plans for prototypes, pre-production and mass production</p></li><li><p>Drive for application of lessons learned into product design</p></li><li><p>Provide support to reliability growth test in the stages of product development with the aim to detect and report the product decay or the correctable abnormalities during the development phase, supporting the definition of the diagnosis</p></li><li><p>Support preparation and execution of internal and third-party quality audits and provide technical support to sustain the effectiveness of the quality manage system</p></li><li><p>Guarantee quality criteria standardization during the development of APQP phases</p></li><li><p>Ensure application of lessons learned relevant for the specific project</p></li><li><p>Perform and support Project Status Audits and Process Audits on new production lines whenever required,</p></li><li><p>Review and analyze data for Continuous Improvement projects</p></li><li><p>Coordinate the APQP of new products by supporting the plant during the quotation process of new products, introduction of product modifications/process changes/new suppliers</p></li><li><p>Review customer requirements as essential input for the projects</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><p>Required Education and Experience</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's in Science - Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics engineering (preferred)</p></li><li><p>Quality tools experience</p></li><li><p>Experience managing Quality activities with Suppliers</p></li></ul><p>Preferred Requirements</p><ul><li><p>Six Sigma Green Belt</p></li><li><p>Certified auditor</p></li><li><p>FMEA moderator</p></li><li><p>Automotive Spice and or functional safety skills (ISO 26262)</p></li><li><p>IATF Core tools</p></li></ul><p>General Job Requirements</p><ul><li>Generic</li></ul><p>EnerSys provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
