Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal / Senior Principal Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support Advance programs. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

What you'll get to do:

The Advanced Programs Engineer Systems Modeling Simulation will support Advanced Programs projects in a variety of modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) efforts.

Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

  • Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models.

  • Simulates real-time operations and develops software that simulates behavior of systems.

  • Develops integrates and uses advanced graphical user interfaces and visualization tools.

  • Models operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and recommends alternative architectures.

  • Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You'll bring these qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal level or level Sr. Principal level.

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)

  • A minimum 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years with a Master's; or 0 years with PhD. (Sr. Principal level requires 9 years with a Bachelor's degree; 7 years with a Master's degree; or 4 years with a PhD)

  • U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years

  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program Clearance

  • Experience in one or more of the following knowledge areas: trade studies, System of System modeling, RF modeling, Modeling Simulation and Analysis, Object Oriented Programing (OOP), survivability analysis

  • Ability to effectively communicate and present complex technical concepts to project, program, and company management, other technical managers, and customers

  • Excellent team building skills and ability to complete tasking with minimal direction

  • Experience with one or more of the following languages: C#, Python, MatLAB

These qualifications would be nice to have:

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in the areas of modeling, simulation, and analysis

  • Experience with one or more of the following simulation tools: AFSIM, STK, or other system of system modeling tools


Salary Range: $92,200.00 - $138,400.00Salary Range 2: $114,300.00 - $171,500.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. VIEW JOBS 8/16/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-11-14T00:00 <p>Torch Technologies is seeking candidates to join a multi-disciplinary team in developing, maintaining, enhancing, and leveraging modeling and simulation (M&amp;S) in support of Army Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) programs which include Advanced Threat Detection Systems and Electronic Countermeasure systems.</p><p>The position consists of performing ASE system performance analysis, Digital System Model (DSM) execution, developing tools to process and analyze data, and developing and integrating additional models, components and capabilities. In addition to the execution and analysis of DSM data, activities can include synthetic scene generation, signatures analysis, sensor modeling, and threat model integration. <br><br> Candidates can expect to be primarily located on-site at government facilities working closely with teammates in direct support of customers and primary stakeholders. Travel is not typically required for this position, although select opportunities can arise.</p><p>Experience desired with modeling and simulation, analysis, software development and maintenance. Knowledge of ASE systems and programs are a plus, but not required. <br><br> Candidates should possess an enthusiasm for learning and an ability to work closely with teammates and customers daily. Familiarity with Linux systems, scripting languages (Python, Bash), team-based Software Development Tools (Git, etc.), and Object-Oriented Design and Programming, (C/C++, C#, Java) a plus.</p><p>Job Requirements</p><p>B.S. degree or better in engineering, computer science, physics, or another technical discipline from an accredited university is required. <br><br> Candidates with 5 or more years of experience in supporting Army or Department of Defense related fields are preferred but not required.</p><p>Position requires that candidate meets requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance in order to access classified information.
