From coughs and colds to cuts and broken bones, our providers offer great care for a range of illnesses and injuries in clean modern centers. We know urgent medical situations often happen unexpectedly, so our Boston-area Partners Urgent Care clinics seven days a week. Most Partners Urgent Care visits last less than an hour, so our patients can get back to what matters.

General Summary

We are seeking Advanced Practitioners (NPs or PAs) for our Porter Square Urgent Care location to work 13 hour shifts 3 days per week.

  • Diagnose and treat an array of pediatric and adult illnesses and injuries

  • Order and interpret indicated diagnostic testing based upon evidence-based medicine (EBM) and clinical practice guidelines (CPG)

  • Attend and participate in monthly supervisory meetings

  • Attend and participate in market meetings

  • Recording patient information as necessary on an electronic medical record (EMR)

  • Become an active and energetic participant in this growing company

  • Perform required procedures including but not limited to suturing and splinting

  • Liaising with patients, general practitioners, health care professionals, and patient's family members in a compassionate and kind manner.

  • Communicate effectively, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems.

  • An outstanding bedside manner with both children and adults

  • 1 yr. in Urgent Care or emergency department

  • 1 yr. Pediatric experience (12 months and older)

  • State medical license

  • DEA license

  • State controlled substances license (if applicable)

  • Successful completion of a training program and be able to treat patients in a solo practice environment

  • Board-certified

  • Experience in procedures including suturing and splinting

  • Experience in reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs

  • BLS certification

  • Experience treating workers' compensation cases

  • Experience treating occupational health cases

  • DOT certification preferred

  • Must be able to speak and write English fluently.

  • Occupational Health Experience

Education

Successful completion of an Advanced Practitioner (PA or NP) educational program that includes clinical training in family medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics or another specialty.

VIEW JOBS 2/11/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-11T00:00 GENERAL SUMMARY: The Radiologic Technologist works to provide expedited care for patients by performing X-ray exams as ordered by Partners Urgent Care providers and by assisting with front office activities as well as back office clinical activities. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Front Office: * Performs all of the assigned duties of the front office, applying daily check lists for opening and closing of center. * Greets and assists patients and other guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner. * Registers arriving patients in the electronic medical record (EMR) following existing protocols. * Processes payments for services. Back Office clinical duties: * Rooms and triages patients. * Documents review of symptoms, patient history, chief complaint, vital signs and any other necessary clinical documentation in the EMR. * Obtains and processes patient specimens, according to protocol, for point of care tests (examples: rapid strep, flu, mono, pregnancy, urinalysis, glucose), sends out labs (examples: urine culture, strep culture), and other tests required for employee health visits such as breath alcohol test, urine drug screening. Collection of specimens is typically by urine sample or finger stick blood sample. * Assists with minor surgical procedures under the direction of licensed provider. Radiologic Technologist duties: * Prepares the radiology suite, equipment, and materials as necessary. * Follows standard protocols for preparing adult and pediatric patients for x-ray studies, capturing images and documenting appropriately in the EMR. * Cleans and stages exam and procedure suites in between patient occupancy. * Monitors receipt of x-ray images by receiving Radiology department and monitors availability of results. * Re-stocks shelves and suites when supply orders are received. * Assists with training activities for new employees. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Associate's degree from an accredited college required * Current state licensure as a radiologic technologist required * CPR/BLS certification required * ARRT license required * Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume urgent care center or emergency room preferred SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES: * Must have outstanding bedside manner with both pediatric and adult patients. * Demonstrated ability and strong commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service principles. * Must have positive and energetic attitude which inspires other team members. * Possess excellent organizational and record keeping skills. * Ability to communicate effectively, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems independently. * Must be able to speak and write English fluently. * Technology proficiency is critical, including previous EMR experience and knowledge of Microsoft software products such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Prior experience with EPIC preferred. * Must be able to work well in a team environment. WORKING CONDITIONS: * Reliable, independent transportation is required for travel to various PUC locations. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. Requires sitting and standing associated with normal office environment. Manual dexterity for using a computer keyboard and calculator. * Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment. There is constant contact with the public, clinic and office support staff.
