Responsibilities

Role Overview:

• Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care

• Combination inpatient/outpatient role including: clinic visits for pre/post-surgical care, obesity medicine etc. Assist on bariatric cases in the OR and round on patients in the hospital

• Clinic hours: M-F 7:30am-4:30pm

• Average 4 patients a day in OR

• Average 12 patients a day in clinic

• Shared call (every third weekend)

• Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff

• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Board Certified

• Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
