The Primary Care Network is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide primary care to patients of all ages at a busy family practice in Tri-County.
Essential Functions
Perform appropriate history and physical for complex, acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
Diagnose disease or study medical conditions using techniques such as gross pathology, histology, cytology, cytopathology, clinical chemistry, immunology, flow cytometry, and molecular biology.
Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
Maintain accurate medical records.
Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed.
Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence-based practice.
Participate in education of nurse practitioner or physician assistant students and medical students.
Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Minimum Requirements
Nurse Practitioner:
Required Education
A master's degree in nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program.
Required Experience
At least three (3) years nursing experience.
Required Trainings/Certifications
Current/valid RN license to practice in the state of Ohio with prescriptive authority prior to start.
Physician Assistant:
Required Education
Graduation from a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessor agencies.
Required Experience
A minimum of one year PA experience.
Required Trainings/Certifications
Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Current/valid PA license to practice in the state of Ohio.
