Job Description

Come join our Thoracic Medical Oncology Service - come join a team of research-oriented, thoracic oncology experts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of APP investigators to manage a portfolio of sophisticated clinical trials, facilitate collaborative care across treatment modalities, and provide comprehensive care to patients receiving investigational therapies.

Hours: 10 hour days flexed Monday through Friday

Location: Koch Building, NYC

We are seeking a Clinical Trials Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for our Thoracic Medical Oncology Clinical Research team. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 900 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families.

You will:

  • Work within an APP Physician based Ambulatory Care Practice Model.

  • Collaborate with designated physicians and research team members (consisting of the principle investigators, Clinical Research Associates and Coordinators, and Nursing Staff) to develop and conduct clinical trials

  • Screen patients for protocols, participate in the informed consent process and provide education for patients considering enrollment or enrolled on a clinical trial

  • Clinical responsibilities include performing patient assessments, monitoring toxicities, assessing clinical responses and providing outstanding patient care while ensuring the protocol is conducted in a high quality manner

  • Implement the standards for research protocols in compliance with regulatory, institutional and external agencies

  • Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to patients throughout various stages of treatment

Qualifications needed for an NP candidate are:

  • Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations

  • Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)

  • 3+ years of related clinical experience

  • Related National NP certification

  • BLS certification

Qualifications needed for a PA candidate are:

  • Graduate from an accredited PA program

  • NCCPA certification

  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure

  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience

Pay Range $136,000-180,000K
