Job Summary:

The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical services for the pediatric plastic & reconstructive surgery team, including ED consults, OR first assist, post-operative visits, follow-up appointments, new patient exams, and office procedures (excisions, injections, laser treatment, etc.). The candidate will also be responsible for the management of in-patient pediatric plastic surgery patients, to include daily rounds, writing of orders, patient assessment, patient education, and discharge. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to provide independent wound services for all out-patient wound care. This will include wound debridement, wound VAC applications, knowledge of wound care products, and outpatient wound consultations in the ED and clinic areas.

The work schedule may vary but will primarily be Monday-Friday during normal business hours. Some flexibility may be required.

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located mainly in Aurora, CO but will be required to work at multiple CHCO locations including the Main, North, and South campuses.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master's degree in Nursing or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• Certification from the appropriate professional society (NCCPA, AANP)

• Colorado license will be required prior to start date

• Ability to obtain prescriptive authority (DEA License)

• At least 1 year of surgical advanced practice experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in pediatric plastic surgery

• Previous experience in hand surgery

• Previous experience working in an academic hospital

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$103,000 to $128,000 and is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
