Department Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider, Non-Operative Spine, position is focused on the management of patients with a variety of spine and musculoskeletal conditions primarily in our Las Colinas, TX location. The APP will be a part of a comprehensive multidisciplinary spine center, working closely with specialists in physical medicine & rehabilitation, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, and pain management. The APP will also collaborate with other APPs within the spine center. There will be opportunities to participate in and learn from multiple educational conferences including Spine lecture series, Spine journal club, and Morbidity & Mortality meetings. The APP will have the opportunity to work in a procedure suite setting alongside the supervising physician to facilitate patient care.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for our mission to deliver high-quality patient care in a collaborative, learning environment as part of a multidisciplinary team. The candidate will also be proactive in the mission to optimize patient access and patient experience.
Scheduled Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The weekend and after hour calls are taken from home. The call schedule is divided among non-operative physicians and other APPs.

Licensure and Certification
Job Duties
Conduct and document comprehensive history and physical examination, with a focus on spine, musculoskeletal, and neurologic systems.
Synthesize data, collaborate with supervising physician, and utilize evidence-based medicine to develop, implement, and evaluate the patient's plan of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies/therapeutic procedures.
Demonstrate proficiency in technical/procedural skills, as appropriate and based on specialty and training.
Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers related to current care and preventive health measures.
Facilitate/participate in quality related initiatives and/or clinical research protocols through planned group processes, workshops, seminars, and staff meetings, to improve clinical and system practice performance.
Collaborate in research projects and protocols; and routinely applies evidence based best practices to patient care.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to maintain current customer service, clinical, and technical skills.
Ability to identify opportunities and provide suggestions for improvements in departmental policy, procedures, and protocols.
Proficient use of EMR in the delivery of care.
