Job Summary

General Surgery is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work with the Endocrine Surgery team.

The successful candidate will manage the care of both ambulatory and surgical patients.

Superior patient care skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients and tasks and clinical knowledge is needed.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Knowledge of pre- and post- operative care of surgical patients.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

Previous experience working with surgical patients preferred.

VIEW JOBS 9/6/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-05T00:00 Job Summary The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the ambulatory care setting works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team. This APP will work with the General Neurology Program. The APP is generally service or MD aligned and manages a distinct patient population in the outpatient setting. On occasion the APP who functions primarily in the clinic may perform some coordination of inpatient care and outpatient follow-up after discharge. The APP has a strong foundation in evidenced-based practice and education and has a responsibility for ensuring an environment of safe quality care. The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.
