The Physicians East Advanced Practice Provider includes both Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/ or Physician Assistant (PA) roles. You will provide direct care for our patients using acquired professional medical knowledge and exercise independent decision making in the assessment, diagnosis, and development of a plan of care for your patients. You will collaborate and consult with supervising physicians and contribute to outstanding patient care! As a valued member of our Advanced Practitioner healthcare team, you will be actively involved in the daily operations of the department with the ability to influence workflows and clinical protocols. In addition, continuing education opportunities will be available to you as well as opportunities to participate in focus groups that influence patient and practice experience as well as advancing the role of the APP in the practice throughout your career.

Physicians East, PA is a multi-specialty, multi-campus group based out of Greenville, NC offering a wide range of specialties. In addition to primary care the practice offers pulmonary and critical care medicine, rheumatology, dermatology, oncology, endocrinology, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, gastroenterology, surgery, urology, and urgent care. Our 102 providers and over 600 employees provide services for thousands of patients in a 29-county region. Our specialists are on staff at ECU Health, a 900+ bed, level one trauma center and the primary teaching hospital for the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine (ECU-BSOM).

Candidate Requirements

• Licensed as a PA-C or NP in the state of North Carolina and DEA license.

• Must be able to work independently (under indirect supervision).

• Must have experience and knowledge of an EMR system, voice dictation (Dragon) and strong documentation skills.

• Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.

• Flexible and adaptable with a focus on not turning any patient away before exhausting all reasonable options.

• Value working in a team-oriented, patient-centric culture.

• Be confident in clinical decision-making and autonomous in providing care to patients in a fast-paced clinical practice setting.

• Possess excellent time management and have ability to work well with patients and their families, collaborating/supervising physicians, facility staff and leadership.

• Display a professional demeanor and recognition of privacy considerations for patients and families, maintaining strict confidentiality in all times.
