We are recruiting a new Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner for
our Comprehensive Treatment Center in Shelby, NC
Age Group/Range: Adults
Practice Setting/Type: Outpatient
Addiction Medicine patients require care from specialty-trained professionals, in a highly-specialized, and quality-focused environment. Up to 10 hours per week with remote flexibility starting April 1, 2024.
Qualifications:
Licensed Physician in the state of North Carolina
Advanced knowledge and clinical skills through and appropriate educational program
Ability to work hours to meet the needs of our clients - flexible hours starting at 5am.
Experience in addiction treatment preferred

Responsibilities
Summary:
Makes a comprehensive physical assessment of patients consistent with training and education;
Performs physical examinations on patients admitted for medication maintenance;
Ensures physician medication orders are being followed. Refers patients to appropriate physicians and consults with the supervising physician;
Evaluates patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results, and patient feedback;
Provides patient and staff education on medication maintenance;
Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF Standards, and clinic policy and procedure;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, from an accredited college or university.
Previous experience in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment clinic preferred.
No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment.
