RAPPAHANNOCK GENERAL HOSPITAL
The primary responsibility of the Inpatient Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be assessment and medical management of adult patients admitted to the adult medical-surgical units within the specified facility.
The NP will utilize advanced clinical skills and knowledge to assess patients and manage all aspects of care. He/she will communicate clinical issues to the physicians as appropriate, write orders according to standardized procedures/protocols, perform daily patient-care rounds, and facilitate arrangements for discharge/transfer. The NP will collaborate with the care team to coordinate and manage the process of patient care from the point of admission to the hospital, through discharge and hand-off to an outpatient care provider to ensure continuity of care where applicable.
1.Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in State of Virginia, graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician
2.Current ACLS certification.
3.Well-developed communication and influence skills.
4.Certification based on specialty area, or comparable acute inpatient experience of 2 years or greater.
