Specifically the role of the APC is to increase asset consolidation through the positioning of new advisory, brokerage, mutual fund, trust, and investment management business, and insurance solutions within the Advanced Planning Team and field based Investment Advisors Representatives. The Consultant provides a high level of knowledgeable assistance to customers and financial representatives on topics relating to assessing fees for planning services, retirement income planning, investment strategy, and product selection.
This role involves personal contact with customers on topics that take a high degree of specialized knowledge. In addition, the role involves training activities with financial representatives on planning and product topics to insure that they possess the knowledge necessary to assist customers in making informed financial decisions.
Promote the Retirement Readiness strategy across the organization and to corporate, tax-exempt, affinity groups, advisors and individual prospects and customers of Voya Financial.
Coordinate with planning consultants, relationship managers, retirement consultants and field-based Investment Advisor Representatives to achieve scorecard goals and advance retirement and financial planning services.
Develop, maintain, and deepen relationships with advisors. Build rapport and credibility through expert answers on a broad range of complicated financial topics and concepts.
Leverage internal systems and reports to identify opportunities for growth in advisor practices.
Drive awareness, implementation, and effectiveness of retirement planning programs and initiatives within Retirement Services and Individual Markets.
Provide in-depth subject matter expertise on Retirement Readiness and related marketing, sales and financial planning program initiatives.
Assist in the coordination, facilitation, and follow up of key advisor conferences.
Provide coaching advice to field and phone advisors regarding planning options and escalation to higher level services. Includes using strategies to identify additional assets and accomplish asset gathering, asset retention and product placement consistent with Voya Financial Advisors regulatory and Business Conduct guidelines.
Mentor professional development, expertise and consultative skills to planning consultants, retirement consultants and relationship managers.
Develop and improve planning and advice tools for use by Advisors.
