Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, provides nursing care and services to patients. Duties and responsibilities are limited to those that fall under the scope of practice of unlicensed health care providers acting under the direction of a licensed nurse, in order to ensure quality and continuity of patient care; accepts and supports the philosophy, purpose and objectives of Baptist Health and the Department of Nursing. These will include but limited to selected technical skills, data collection, lab specimen collection.

• High school graduate or equivalent required, currently enrolled in an accreditied nursing school.Must have completed a MINIMUM of Fundamentals of Nursing Care, Pharmocology, and Medication Administration in Nursing School. BLS. Currently employed as a PCT, Nurse Intern or Extern by Baptist HealthKnowledge of body mechanics and basic safety, principles of physical care and comfort. Knowledge of patho-pharmocology; Ability to work as a team under the direction of a licensed nurse. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Basic Life Support (BLS)
